How rythme uses AI
rythme uses AI in a few clearly labelled features. This page explains what they do, what they receive and their limits, so you always know when you are dealing with an AI system.
Features that use AI
| Feature | What it does | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Meal scan | Estimates foods, calories and macros from a photo | The photo you choose, resized; not stored |
| Ask rythme | Answers questions about your last 30 days | Your question and summaries of your log and training |
| Free-text logging | Turns a sentence into log entries | The text you type |
| Daily tips and coach | Suggest an adjustment or a program from your exercise library | Summaries of your log and training |
| AI plan (Premium) | Sets targets, builds a 12-week plan, checks in weekly | Your goal, training summary and, only with your explicit consent, body data from Apple Health or Health Connect |
Who processes the data
Requests go through our server to Mistral AI (France), acting as our processor under its API terms. Only the values needed for each request are sent. rythme does not keep the data sent; it stores only the result you choose to save. Details: Privacy Policy.
You stay in control
- AI features are labelled in the app; you start each one yourself.
- Suggestions never change your program until you accept them, and anything you accept can be undone.
- Health-app body data is sent only if you agree, and you can withdraw that consent in You › AI & data.
Limits
AI output can be wrong. Meal estimates are approximate, and fatigue and strength figures are estimates from your training history, not physiological measurements. AI suggestions are not medical advice and do not replace a qualified professional.
